Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation: 1. Found hand sink in the back kitchen area has no hot water, tap is broken.
2. Sink in the sushi area had a blocked liquid soap.
Correction: 1. Must have the hot water tap repaired immediately! All hand sinks must have both hot and cold water at all times
2. Must be able to easily access the sink, liquid soap and paper towel

Code 402 noted on Routine inspection # KMLN-BB3T69 of Apr-09-2019
Employee does not wash hands properly or at adequate frequency [s. 21(3)]
Observation: 1. Watched staff wash hands with a cloth glove with plastic glove over top.
2. Watched staff enter sushi making area put gloves on to make a roll.
Correction: 1.Must wash hands with liquid soap, paper towel, hot and cold water. Must remove gloves to do this then place a new glove one.
Do not use cloth gloves under plastic gloves.
2. MUST wash hands before putting on gloves, especially if returning to a station.
CORRECT: immediately (discard reusable gloves)

- Personal items have been moved to the opposite side of the storage room away from food
- Cleaning has been done, keep up on a regular basis
- newspaper, and other non food grade materials have been removed
- prep cooler has been repaired was 3.8 C
- Hand sink has been repaired, hot water now available at the sink
- all hand sinks are easily accessible
- NOTE: stainless steel is on order for the top of the freezers
All other items have been correct at time of inspection
