Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted on August 17, 2022 to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were reviewed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.
Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation: Upon review of the attendance records for the past 3 months, there were 5 departure times not recorded.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the attendance records are complete.

Comments

At the inspection dated August 17, 2022 there were 0 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified.The Licensee will provide Licensing with a written response then Licensing will review it. As part of this Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment was completed and a copy was provided.

Licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility.

The information contained in the report was discussed with the Licensee and Licensing stated that the report will be emailed to the facility.
