Code 401 noted on Routine inspection # ABAI-AAGTRP of May-31-2016
Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] (Employee purse noted in the hand sink in the back food preparation area at time of inspection. Soap dispenser was blocked by employee jackets hanging over dispenser on hook above. This issue was noted on the previous inspection and the hanger was to be relocated. Soap dispenser was also jammed at time of inspection. When tap to sink turned on the water was splashing. Soap dispenser at front service area has a broken handle however staff appear to obtain soap from the dispenser by pumping the handle on an angle.)
Comments

- Reviewed food safety plan for soup with operator over the phone. Ensure all staff are aware of proper soup cooking/cooling procedures. Ensure hot plate is located under heat ventilation system when cooking soup and that ice bath is used for cooling soup. Reheating is only permitted once. Tracking is required to prevent confusion.
- Sanitizer available in spray bottle for both front and back service areas. Reusable cloths stored in sanitizer solution. Sanitizer 100ppm at time of inspection at all stations.
- Soap dispenser at hand sink in back has been repaired and temporary soap pump style soap purchased for front hand sink until new wall mounted soap dispenser has been fixed.
- Hangers removed from above hand sink and soap dispenser in the back area
- Faucet has been fixed so that it no longer sprays when turned on however, some splashing does occur when water is run. Look into getting a shorter faucet or adding an aerator.
- Door sweep has been installed.
- Operator has registered two staff in foodsafe
