Comments

-Handsinks at the front area and both washrooms were supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
-Double compartment sink in the back storage room with the ice machine was also supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.
-Coolers were at or below 4 degrees C. Sandwich cooler was at 3.7 degrees C and was equipped with a thermometer.
-Freezers were at or below -18 degrees C.
-No signs of recent pest activity were observed at the time of inspection.
-Ice machine was in a clean condition at the time of inspection.

-Double compartment sink was available for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing the coffee pots and ice scoop before they are air dried.
-Staff could not initially find the bleach (sanitizer) bottle and mentioned that the evening shift performs cleaning tasks who may have placed it elsewhere.
-A bleach bottle was purchased at the time of inspection and brought on-site. Reminder: Use 1/2 teaspoon bleach per L of water to setup 100 ppm chlorine sanitizer in the sink for sanitizing (destroying harmful bacteria and viruses) on food contact surfaces.
-A manual ware-washing sign from Fraser Health was provided to staff at the time of inspection.

*NOTE: Single use disposable utensils and straws were not covered to protect them from debris and contamination (e.g. from customers coughing and/or sneezing on them or touching them). Please look to obtain pre-packaged single use disposable utensils and straws as these will remain protected from contamination and update the district Environmental Health Officer within 1 month (business card was provided to staff).
