PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: Licensing observed the following;
- The gate in the outdoor play area has no lock on it and does not close completely therefore leaving an opening. A potential of children getting out of the care facility. Licensing provided education on the importance of securing the gate to prevent children getting out of the care facility.
- The front door of the care facility requires an extensive amount of force to open and close. Potential fire hazard. Licensing provided education on the importance of being able to exist the care facility quickly in the event of an emergency.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that a safe and healthy environment is provided at all times while children are in care.

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation: The following were observed:
- Paint chipping in several areas of the care facility exposing white underlay.
This is a repeat contravention.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that all furniture, equipment and fixtures within the care facility are clean and in good repair.
