Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11190 - CCLR s.16(4)(b) - A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (b) safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.
Observation: the slide is kept on packed dirt there is insufficient resilient surfacing to support a fall
Corrective Action(s): please ensure the slide is kept in an area that has sufficient resilient surfacing to support a fall

STAFFING: 12430 - CCLR s.56(1)(b) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (b) for each employee, the records required under section 19 (1) [character and skill requirements].
Observation: all areas of employee file not available for review, validation, resume and references ,CRC's
Corrective Action(s): please ensure all areas required are available a checklist of documents held at main office would be acceptable
