Observation:
1. Ice machine has accumulation of mould growth on back and from where ice is dispensed.
2. Vertical water dispenser has some grime and debris under the propellers.
3. Cutter has some food debris underneath the slicer.
Corrective Action(s):
1. Ice machine:
- Remove ice and drain machine.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions to properly clean and sanitize inside of ice machine. To be corrected by July 17, 2017.
- Do not use ice machine until you receive written approval from the health inspector.
- You are permitted to temporarily use ice from an approved source and store it in the freezer.

2. Water dispenser:
- Clean and sanitize water dispenser. To be corrected today.

3. Cutter:
- Clean and sanitize cutter. To be corrected today.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
Hand washing station in back area blocked with a chair. In addition, a take-out container was present inside the hand sink. The back hand sink being blocked is a REPEATED VIOLATION.
Corrective Action(s):
Remove chair and take-out container from hand washing station. Ensure that all hand washing stations are easily accessible at ALL TIMES. These sinks are used for hand washing only and must be available and fully equipped at all times. If this violation is repeated in any future inspections, further progressive enforcement will be taken (including an order and/or a ticket) as per the Fraser Health guidelines.

Observation:
Cups used as scoops in dry storage area.
Corrective Action(s):
Purchase and use proper scoops for dry storage products. Drink cups are not to be used as scoops. To be corrected by July 17, 2017.

Observation:
1. Fallen chocolate chips and some debris found under shelves in dry storage area.
2. Some cleaning needed under equipment and in corners in front area.
Corrective Action(s):
1. Clean under shelves of dry storage area. To be corrected today.
2. Clean under all equipment and in hard to reach areas. To be corrected today.

Ensure you are following your sanitation plan for daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal cleaning.

Observation:
Second washroom is out of order. Employee informed that due to the door handle not working, the washroom has been out of order.
Corrective Action(s):
Repair/replace door handle to ensure the washroom can be used. To be corrected by July 17, 2017.

Comments

Routine Inspection:
- Front 2-compartment sink/hand washing station fully equipped with liquid soap, paper towels and hot/cold running water.
- All coolers maintained at or below 4 degrees Celsius.
- Freezer temperatures satisfactory.
- QUATS (in spray bottle and in bucket) = 200 ppm.
- High temperature dishwasher sanitizing with 77.7 degrees Celsius on first attempt.
- Ice scoop for ice machine stored in designated container.
- Dipper well in use for stirring utensils.
- No evidence of pest activity at the time of inspection.

In addition to the violations above, the following requires your attention:
- White "Frigidaire" freezer is unstable. Ensure freezer is secure as this is a worksafe matter.
- If pest proof containers in dry storage area have been cracked, they need to be replaced. Some bins have cracks which are temporarily fixed with tape. Ensure that these containers are replaced soon.
- Ensure temperature logs are maintained. Temperature logs unavailable at the time of inspection.
