303 - Equipment/facilities/hot & cold water for sanitary maintenance not adequate [s. 17(3); s. 4(1)(f)]
Observation: 1) Dishwasher final rinse temperature was at 58-59 degrees C after running it three times.
2) Sink with overhead sprayer near the dishwasher had water temperature that reached 24 degrees C.
Corrective Action(s): Public Health Act Closure ORDER was issued. Make sure the food premises remains closed until the following:
1) Dishwasher final rinse temperature reaches 71 degrees C or hotter at the plate level (to achieve the sanitizing standard).
2) Hot running water (45 degrees C or hotter) is available at the sink with the overhead sprayer and handsink.
3) District Environmental Health Officer of Fraser Health verifies the abovenoted corrective action is undertaken and rescinds the Public Health Act Closure ORDER in writing.

Observation: Water temperature at the handsink was at 14 degrees C at the time of inspection and then went up to 24 degrees C however was not hot. Hot running water was not available at the handsink.
Corrective Action(s): Public Health Act Closure ORDER was issued. Keep the food premises closed until there is hot running water at the handsink and until the district Environmental Health Officer rescinds the ORDER in writing.

Follow up inspection:
-Dishwasher was assessed by Servtech on March 12, 2020 and it was noted that the underlying problem was that the table was obstructing the dishwasher door from closing properly.
-Dishwasher ran a very long cycle since this morning according to the Clerk. Dishwasher was still running the cycle at the time of inspection.
-It was mentioned by the Clerk that the plug was not placed in for the dishwasher.

Public Health Act Closure ORDER is in place for the food premises; Please contact the district Environmental Health Officer for a follow up inspection.
