Pink mildew like spots observed inside the ice machine that may result in potential contamination of ice stored in it.
Corrective Action(s): Please clean and sanitize the ice machine regularly following the manufacturer's instructions.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1 wooden spoon was cracked in the middle and was worn out. Food debris can get stuck in the cracks and harbour pathogens which may cause potential food contamination during food handling. Staff discarded the wooden spoon during inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Regularly check all the utensils/dishes/food contact surfaces to ensure that they are maintained in good working order. Replace/renew equipment as needed.

Routine inspection conducted.

Findings:
- General sanitation of the facility was satisfactory.
- Temperature of prep cooler, walk in cooler, stand up cooler, undercounter cooler and front display cooler recorded at or below 4C
- Stainless steel freezer in the back recorded at -17C
- All handwash sinks (x2) had adequate supply of hot and cold running water, liquid soap and single use paper towels.
- 200ppm QUATS concentration recorded in sanitizer spray bottle.
- 50ppm chlorine residual recorded during rinse cycle of low temp mechanical dishwasher.
- 3 compartment dishwashing sink used for manual dishwashing.
- Food was stored at least 6 inches off the floor.
- Staff has valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate (Exp June 10, 2024)
- Permit posted at the front.
- No signs of pest activity observed.

Improvement noted since last routine inspection.
