Report of Findings
Community Care Facilities Licensing received a complaint on February 23, 2024, regarding Care and Supervision. 
 
All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was obtained through interviews and a review of facility documents. 

Licensing confirmed that staff use an inappropriate guidance technique at pick-up time.
 
Therefore, a contravention to Child Care Licensing Regulation section 51(1)(a), Behavioural guidance, was determined.

14220 - CCLR s.51(1)(a)A licensee must (a) ensure that behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of the child who is receiving the guidance.
Observation: The Facility practice at the end of the day is for the children to remain seated in chairs at the front door or in the high chair until they are picked up.
Corrective action: A corrective action plan will be submitted to Licensing
