Observation: A hose is connected to the end of the faucet of the hand sink in the kitchen and it is stored in the sink with the potential for backflow of water and contamination from the sink through the hose and into the water supply line. A backflow preventer must be installed at the connection of the hose to the end of the faucet to prevent potential contamination of the water in the building distribution system.
Corrective Action(s): Install a backflow preventer on the end of the faucet at the connection to the hose at the kitchen hand sink.

502 - In operator’s absence, no staff on duty has FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent [s. 10(2)]
Observation: Three staff on duty at the time of inspection do not have the FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate. There must always be someone on shift that has the FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that staff register in a FOODSAFE class and obtain the certificate.

Generally well maintained & operated. Sanitation is good. Refrigeration measures < 4 C. Freezer temperatures measure < -18 C. Hot-holding measures > 60 C.
Two-sink sanitizer measures 200 ppm Q. Spray sanitizer measures 200 ppm Q. Dishwasher final rinse temperature measures 78 C.
A follow-up inspection will be conducted on July 25th to confirm correction of the observed violations.
