Observation: Mop sink was not installed according to approved plans due to space constraints related to grease trap, plumbing pipes and orientation of ice machine. Operator has made a sink that drains into the floor drain under dish washing sink to dispose of mop water; however it is not permanent/fixed in place.
Corrective Action(s): A permanent method of disposing of mop water in a sanitary manner is needed. This must meets health and building/plumbing requirements. Operator must submit revised as-built plans to Fraser Health to reflect changes to approved plans and provide documentation from the City of Burnaby verifying of mop sink/disposal method meets plumbing/building requirements. Correction date: Oct. 3/17

Comments

-Paper towel dispenser has been mounted at handsink. Handsink is supplied with liquid soap and paper towel.
-Walls which required painting have been painted.
-Shelving is in place
-Drying rack above sink is in place. *Additional drying rack will be needed.
-Access panel has been put in place over hole/opening over dishsink.
-Cover is in place over light fixture
-Small under counter cooler was 4C. Prep cooler was 3C. Thermometers present in coolers.
-Hot and cold running water present. Bleach present for sanitizing dishes. Dishwashing sign provided to be posted at dishwashing sink.
-Premises has health approval to resume operation. Above violation noted must be addressed within timeframe specified.
