Observation: Electrical room in kitchen area of facility is in poor condition and subject to mouse activity and potential harbourage. Difficult to assess as it is very dirty in this room. Pictures taken. Floor in poor condition. Room is not easily cleanable, including walls.
Corrective Action(s): This room needs a complete cleaning and all equipment removed. Floor should be resurfaced. Wall painted. Any rodent access points into or through facility should be eliminated.
Should be addressed in renovation as per discussion with staff.

307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
Observation: Textured and coloured floor tile extending into areas of the kitchen and the tile grout difficult to clean and was observed with accumulations of food debris. Some of the walls around this floor tile also observed with accumulations of food debris.
Corrective Action(s): This type of floor tile and the state of the tile grout in the kitchen is proving difficult to keep clean. Discussed with staff and a renovation is planned beginning mid November extending into December. The patterned floor tile should be included in renovation.
Review at next inspection.
