Introduction

An unscheduled routine/ focused inspection was conducted. All newly licensed facilities in Fraser Health receive one routine and one follow up-inspection to ensure they are maintaining compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation: the licensee has a freezer chest that was unlocked and accessible to the children in the outside play area. Corrective Action(s): please ensure the freezer is locked when children are on site Date to be Corrected: June 6,2023

At the inspection dated june 5, 2023 there were 5 children, Manager and one staff present. There was one contraventions identified during this inspection. Inspection not written on site or signed due to technical difficulties.
