# OBSERVED IN CARE

Introduction

A routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).

The following areas were reviewed for compliance:
· Physical facility
· Health and hygiene systems
· Children’s files – emergency contacts
· Staffing

COVID-19 prevention strategies were reviewed and discussed.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

During this inspection, there were 4 children and 3 staff present. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

The LO met with the manager and discussed the following:
· Sanitization and Handwashing procedures
· Drop-off and pick-up procedures
· Social distancing measures
· Availability of cleaning supplies and paper products - please contact the Ministry for resources regarding supplies
· Health & illness policy

The following resources were provided to the manager:
· Fraser Health CCFL COVID-19 Prevention Resource Package

The Licensee's other facility is currently closed and two children from that facility are attending Heritage Mountain due to low enrollment. Please ensure that children's files complete with emergency contacts are on site for these children.

This inspection report was discussed with the manager and copy was emailed to the facility on April 8, 2020.
