Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Sanitizer dispenser at 3 compartment sink had 0 ppm QUATS. Sanitizer bottle was empty.
Corrective Action(s): Staff changed bottle. Sanitizer was tested to be at 200 ppm QUATS after bottle was changed. Ensure staff are regularly checking on sanitizer and changing it out BEFORE the bottle is completely empty. This will ensure that there is always sanitizer available to staff.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Large cake was left on a table in the store area for customers to cut themselves and serve themselves (it was 7-Eleven's birthday). This cake cannot be left out in the open unprotected. Customers may cough/sneeze/contaminate the cake.
Corrective Action(s): Cake was moved to behind counter. Staff should be cutting/serving the cake to customers.

Routine inspection conducted:
Handsink equipped with liquid soap, paper towels, hot/cold running water
-Walk in cooler at 3 deg C
All other coolers at 4 deg C or less
-Hot holding at 60 deg C or greater
-Hot holding unit with pizzas, meatballs, corn dogs, and chicken wings; all food items are discarded within 2 hours (pizzas are discarded after 1 hour as the bottom rack is not kept as hot as the upper 2). The machine is equipped with a timer alarm that sounds when the one hour and two hour time limits have been reached, which signals the employees to discard the foods.
-Freezers at -18 deg C or less
-Quat spray sanitizer available at 200 ppm Quats (kept at the handsink)
-All foods in store are off floor
-Temperature logs maintained up to date
-General sanitation good; no signs of pests
-FoodSafe certified staff and manager on site (kept in a binder in the office) in the Tim Hortons.
