Follow up inspection:
-Pest control service was provided on September 19, 2019 (today) by Ideal Pest Control Ltd. Copy of pest control report was provided to the district Environmental Health Officer of Fraser Health. Please continue to email copies of the subsequent pest control reports to the district Environmental Health Officer of Fraser Health for the next three months.
-Rodent droppings were removed from affected areas.
-Dishes and preparation utensils were rewashed and sanitized.
-Glassware was being placed through the dishwasher at the time of inspection. Next event date is tomorrow.
-Weathestrip was added under the backdoor near the chest freezers.
-Cart with corroded/rusty materials was removed.
-Floors, shelving units, preparation tables, and cooking equipment area (wall, floor, and sides) were in clean condition.
-Equipment storage areas were re-organized and decluttered to reduce harbourage areas.

The following still requires correction:

1. Ensure the shelving unit in the back storage area has a non-absorbant, smooth, durable, easy to clean, and non-toxic finish. Operator stated that they could repair this within 3 months time; Correct by December 31, 2019.

2. Fix the gauge of the dishwasher so that the dishwasher final rinse temperature can be monitored at the gauge level; Correct by September 27, 2019 and contact the district Environmental Health Officer for a follow up inspection.

3. Continue the integrated pest control program (regular monitoring of recent signs of pest activity, regular cleaning, keeping food covered, keeping food equipment at least 6 inches off the floor, contracting a professional pest control company on a weekly basis, sealing all entry points, keeping all entrances closed).

4. Repair the broken floor tiles that are accumulating some moisture upon washing the floor in the cooking area; Correct within 1 month.

Recommended: Keep the dishware in enclosed cabinets or enclosed food storage containers with lids instead of the open cabinet unit to help protect them from any future contamination.

Closure Order issued on September 18, 2019 was rescinded. Health approval to re-open the food premises was granted from Fraser Health.
