Summary of Inspection:
During today’s inspection, there were no children in care, and the facility licensee was present awaiting children's arrival after dropping off school age children to school.
At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
The following was discussed:
First aid for one staff had been completed online, licensing provided education regarding the requirement for part of first aid training to be in person as described in CCLR schedule C.
Regular outdoor playground checks were completed, licensing provided education on documenting the checks, as per DOLSOP-Safe Play space.
Discussed potential amendment to increase capacity based on municipal requirements for two care groups, and plans for installation of sprinklers. Licensing advised to ensure to submit a plan for approval prior to any structural changes.
