Introduction

A routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP)
All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #SYUU-BHWRB2 have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13020 - CCLR s.22(1)(b) - A licensee must have all of the following: (b) an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation: A review of the emergency preparedness supplies found that the food had expired.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that there is enough food and supplies to respond to and recover from an emergency

Comments

During this inspection, there were 7 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. Actions required by the licensee and actions required the LO included here. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
The Licensing Officer met with the manager and discussed the following:
Temporary Placements and Exemptions (info to be forwarded to the manager)

Inspection report was written off site and a copy emailed to the manager at the facility.
