Introduction

Licensing was on site to conduct an unscheduled follow up inspection to routine inspection number EGAU-BCPURG. Areas of non-compliance identified on the routine inspection were reviewed for compliance.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: The door has been sanded to remove the paint chips. However, dust from the paint is now accessible to the children. Blue dust was transferred onto fingers upon touch.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided to the children at all times while they are in care.

Licensing noted that all contraventions have been addressed with exceptions to the following:

> 19260 - CCLR s.58(2)(b)- The care plan was taken with the OSC group on their field trip today so Licensing was unable to observe compliance. A copy, showing that it was renewed will be sent to Licensing.
> 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - Please see contravention section for details.

Licensing is requesting a written response by July 10, 2019 advising on a timeline for compliance.

Licensing will conduct another follow up inspection to ensure compliance with coded item number 11010.
