Observation: 1.Small groups of mouse droppings noted in dry storage room corners, staff washroom corners, behind chest freezer in main kitchen, behind prep cooler, in back corners besides prep cooler.
2. Fruit flies noted around sake dispenser unit. Fruit fly traps in used above unit.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all areas with mouse droppings of premises are cleaned and sanitized. Pest control contract is with Orkin PC now, same as neighbouring unit/ building interior pest control company. Pest control report from Nov. 21, 2018 reviewed. Comment left by technician lists out areas requiring dropping clean up and to "fix hole in front prep area under sink, fix hole in tiled wall under sink beside dishwasher in kitchen. Please improve general sanitation in kitchen". Follow all pest control technician recommendations.
Operator says they will address the hard to reach areas and holes on Monday (regular day off).
Orkin is on-site once a month. Orkin should increase frequency of service from 1 to at least 2 times a month to help control pest issues.
