Introduction

Community Care Facilities Licensing (CCFL) inspected all care categories during an unscheduled routine inspection to assess compliance w/:
• the Community Care & Assisted Living Act
• the Child Care Licensing Regulation
• relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practices

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #CGEE-CFDMPW have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
CARE AND/OR SUPERVISION: 14020 - CCLR s.34(2)(a) - Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (a) children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.
Observation: Repeat violation from FIR #CGEE:
- BG5RFF (18/Sep/2019)
- BGJUZJ (01/Oct/2019)
There were 17 children in the GCC (30m–SA) despite a maximum licensed capacity of 16.
Corrective Action(s): The maximum licensed capacity can never be exceeded.

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19100 - CCLR s.57(2)(d) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation: Repeat violation from FIR #CGEE:

CCFL reviewed all children's files & found that 3 lacked their medical practitioner's contact information.
Corrective Action(s): All requirements of s.57 must be obtained by children's 1st day of care.
