Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.
Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.
Comments

At the inspection dated Oct 11, 2019 there were 27 children and 8 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
During inspection Licensing observed:
- children in the infant room taking part in a circle time, with music and movement, and then going outside for a walk in the community
- children in the toddler room taking part in free play in the outdoor play area
- children in the 3-5 room taking part in a circle time with a story, then engaged in free play

- staff in all programs interacting with children while they were engaged in activties, offering warnings before times of transition as well as assisting with problem solving when necessary.
