Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Bleach sanitizer solution available in spray bottles was too strong (above 200 ppm) and bleached out the chlorine test strip.
Corrective Action(s): Dilute the solution in all designated sanitizer spray bottles. Ensure to mix only 1/2 tsp of bleach per litre of water.

Comments

- Routine inspection conducted.
- Hand sink in kitchen and in staff washroom properly supplied with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
- Triple-sink for manual warewashing maintained in sanitary conditions. Sink drain plugs available.
- Food preparation sink maintained in sanitary conditions.
* Bleach sanitizing solution available in designated spray bottles was too strong (see violation code 209 above). Ensure to mix only 1/2 tsp of bleach per litre of water.
- All coolers were maintaining temperatures at 4C or colder and were equipped with accurate thermometers.
- All freezers were maintaining temperatures at -18C or colder.
- Good food storage practices noted. All food properly covered/protected from contamination, with good separation between raw and ready-to-eat items.
- Dry storage area was organized, all food stored off the floor.
- General sanitation satisfactory at time of inspection.
- All equipment maintained in sanitary condition.
- Temperature and sanitation logs available and well-maintained.
- Mop sink and mop bucket maintained in sanitary conditions.
- No signs of pest activity noted. Back screen door in good working condition.
