Introduction

A scheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).
Risk screening was conducted prior to the inspection.
The following areas were reviewed for compliance:
- Licensing
- Physical Facility
- Care and supervision
- Hygiene practices
- Nutrition
- Program
- Child emergency records
- Reporting
- Care plans/medication

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection

At today’s inspection there were 4 children and the Licensee present.

*Licensing did not conduct a full walk through of the whole home due to Covid-19 prevention strategies.

Licensing reviewed the facility’s COVID-19 prevention strategies and noted the following:
- Health and safety system in place in response to Pandemic
- Family screening outside prior to children entering with limited adult interaction
- Physical distancing is practiced where appropriate
- WCB operating plan is in place and provided to families
- Appropriate hygiene practices following Provincial Health Guidelines

At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed and a copy was provided.

The following was discussed:
- Evacuation drill needs to be completed once updated plan is in place for secondary location.
- Active Play promotion in safe spaces

Facility has been receiving Licensing Officer’s emails.

- How to wash hands posters
