Observation: Noted stands and equipment for the retail area being stored in the dishwasher room. This is not an approved storage area. The equipment for the retail areas is intended to hold foods such as fruits. There are concerns with contamination of this equipment from the 'dirty' food equipment.
Corrective Action(s): Do not use the dishwashing room as a storage area. Remove all stands and equipment for the retail area that are just being stored in this space. Only food equipment that is being washed or has recently washed is to be stored in this area.

Comments

Hand wash stations in produce cutting area had soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water.
Sanitizer available at warewashing sink in produce area - 200ppm at source/dispenser.
Dishwasher room in by receiving area: Most equipment being warewashed in their own departments except for a few items from the meat department (trays for the meat cases) Hand wash station in the dishwasher room fully equipped with soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water. High temperature dishwasher achieved 71C with thermolabel. 200ppm quat sanitizer was available at the warewashing sink.
All coolers 4C or less and all freezers -18C or less.
Non perishable bulk foods had self closing lids with separate scoop for each food item stored outside of the food or were in gravity fed type dispensers.
General sanitation satisfactory. No obvious sign of pest activity noted at time of inspection.
Premises has contract with Orkin Pest Control which comes in twice a month to do the whole store.
All foods stored off the ground on pallets or shelves.
Sample check of baby food/formula conducted - no expired product noted at time of inspection. Manager said these items are checked for expiration twice a month.
