Code 401 noted on Routine inspection # JELR-CFKTT2 of Jun-20-2022 Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] Observation: Operator states that the hand washing sink used by food handlers is the washroom hand sink. Today, the faucet at the third sink in the produce washing and cutting room is broken. Correction: Food handlers washing produce and cutting/wrapping produce require a designated hand sink that is not the washroom hand sink. This is to protect produce from contamination. Repair faucet at third sink so it can be used for hand washing. A barrier between the 2nd and 3rd sink is recommended due to concerns about protecting food in sinks from hand soap. Code 401 noted on Follow-Up inspection # JELR-CFMTRB of Jun-22-2022 Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] Observation: There is no designated hand washing sink in the produce processing room. The faucet on the second sink is broken. Correction: Repair the faucet so that it can provide hot/cold water to the second sink. Provide liquid soap and paper towels, in dispensers, at this sink so it will be used for hand washing. Repair as soon as possible and notify Fraser Health when repaired.
