Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Glass used in bottle labelled as "sanitizer". CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION - Sanitizer solution made during inspection. 200ppm Chlorine made.

Observation: Multiple Observations:
1) Garbage bag in freezer storing raw meat, in direct contact with raw meat
2) Raw eggs stored above deli meat, not on same shelf as raw meat
3) Ice machine scoop stored directly on top of ice machine

Corrective Action(s): .
1) Do not use garbage bags in direct contact with food. Garbage bags are not food grade as they contain chemicals that have the potential to contaminate food.
2) Raw eggs are to be stored with other raw meat items and are not to be stored above any ready to eat food items
3) This area does not receive cleaning daily. Ice scoops should be placed in readily cleanable container that is cleaned daily along with ice scoop.

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Rodent droppings observed in Classroom cupboards (both tall and short along window), in classroom behind freezer, in dry storage area.

Corrective Action(s): The following actions need to occur:
1) Remove droppings, Clean and sanitize area with 200ppm Chlorine/QUAT based sanitizer
2) Place all food items in pest proof containers (including bread in cupboard in open bowls)
3) Ensure all doors have door skirts, seal all holes with pest proof material (metal),
4) Place traps in kitchen (none observed)
5) Inspect all food items for signs of contamination and discard any items which have been contaminated
6) Ensure all food items remain stored up off floor minimum 6 inches

NOTE: The kitchen has open area into cafeteria/school that does not have a door. This area allows for rodents to travel freely between the rest of the school and the kitchen. Inquire with Custodians or School District to determine what measures can be taken in this area to prevent the entry of pests into the kitchen.

NOTE: The Health Department can not enforce the areas outside the kitchen. However, the external doors should be examined as potential sources of entry and the "Home Economics" kitchen should be inspected for rodents as well.
