209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
1. Onions observed stored in containers lined with black garbage bags. Containers are observed stored directly on the floor. Staff removed the onions from the container and discarded the black garbage bags. All onions were placed into a food safe container and stored at least 6 inches off the floor.

2. Bottle of bleach observed stored above large container of sauce. Staff moved the bleach bottle to the chemical storage area during time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Black garbage bags must never be used to store food as the bags may leach toxic chemicals into the food. Ensure all food is stored in food grade containers, stored at least 6 inches off the floor and covered. Ensure chemicals are stored away from foods at all times to prevent potential chemical contamination.
