- Warehouse for storage and distribution of raw meat products. Minimal amount of processing and portioning completed within designated area of food premises.
- Distribution is local - within greater Vancouver area
- General sanitation of warehouse and processing area was satisfactory
- Hot and cold running water supplied to sinks
- Liquid soap and paper towel present at 2 compartment sink in processing area for handwashing
- Staff washrooms maintained with liquid soap and paper towel
- Temperature checked:
- Walk-in cooler 1C
- Walk-in freezer -12C
- Thermometers present in walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer.
- Operator reports walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer were recently serviced and temperature of units are checked twice daily.
- Food products stored on pallets or shelving
- Cutting boards are in good repair and appear clean. Knives stored in sanitary manner.
- Lights bulbs over processing area have shatter resistant tubes.
- One prep table designated for chicken and the other designated for beef and pork.
- Bleach (unscented) present and used for sanitizing food contact surfaces, equipment and knives.
- Reviewed manual warewashing procedures with Operator - wash, rinse, sanitize, air dry.
- No signs of pest activity noted at the time of the inspection. Pest control contract in place with regular service. Service reports kept on-site.
