Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Crab (fresh) was received in bulk and was being portioned into bags by staff in produce walk-in cooler. This is not a suitable practice or location given proximity to produce items and lack of handwashing facilities.
Corrective Action(s): - Immediately cease portioning/packaging of crab and any seafood products in store as there are not suitable facilities present. All raw seafood products must be received pre-packaged. No portioning or re-packaging on-site.
- Manager reported they would cease this practice and head office will be request for vendors to supply all product pre-packaged.

Observation: - Spilled food products observed under shelving adjacent to produce area
- Some areas of store appear cluttered with excess stock and items to be discarded.
Corrective Action(s): - Clean up spilled food products promptly to prevent providing an attraction and food source for pests
- Ensure hard to reach areas (under shelving) are cleaned routinely as part of your regular cleaning schedule.
- Limit orders to what the store has capacity for is designated storage areas. Ensure packaging items (ie cardboard) are removed.

- All coolers in retail area and back area were operating at required temperature (4C or colder)
- All freezers (retail and walk-in) were maintaining product in a frozen state.
- Food products stored off of the floor.
- Pest control contract in place with regular service. Viewed most recent report (19-Apr-2023) at time of the inspection.
- Staff and public washrooms maintained with liquid soap and paper towel.
