Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted on May 3, 2022 to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were reviewed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11160 - CCLR s.16(3)(a) - A licensee must ensure that the entire outdoor play area is (a) enclosed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and will ensure that children are free of harm.
Observation: Upon inspection the fence was leaning over and the stairs leading to the backyard had rot.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the outdoor play space is free from harm.

Comments

At the inspection dated May 3, 2021 there were 0 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified. The Licensee will provide Licensing with a written response. Licensing will review the response. As part of this Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment was completed and a copy was provided.
