Observation: Fresh mouse droppings noted on the floor below the storage racks next to the back handwash station, on the floor in the dinning area dry storage area and in one of the front of house cabinets.
Corrective Action(s): Clean, sweep, sanitize all areas noted with mouse droppings. Operator has been taking a proactive approach in dealing with the current pest issue:
- Storing opened packages of dried food in pest proof containers.
- Sealing all potential visible entry points with foam and steel wool.
- Keeping the front door closed when not in active use.
- Keeping the facility in a sanitary condition.
Operator is looking to hire a pest control company to help with the current pest issue.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted today:
Handwash stations, including washrooms, accessible, equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel.
All refrigeration units were at 4.0C or below.
All freezer units were at -18C or below.
Rice was holding over 60C in the rice cooker.
Food stored protected and in the proper storage hierarchy.
Dry food stored in pest proof containers in an organized manner.
Sanitizer container in the front of house and sanitizer spray bottle in the back of house were noted with 200 PPM chlorine residual.
High temperature dish machine was able to reach 76.5C at the final rinse temperature gauge during the inspection.
Cleanliness and organization has greatly improved since the last few inspections.
Operator has renewed his FOODSAFE level 1 certificate - expires Jan 9, 2028.
