Introduction

An unscheduled routine/ focused inspection was conducted. All newly licensed facilities in Fraser Health receive one routine and one follow up-inspection to ensure they are maintaining compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
STAFFING: 12070 - CCLR s.19(1)(d) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (d) copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of the person's training and skills.
Observation: Copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of the person's training and skills were not obtained.
Corrective Action(s): the licensee ECE certificate expired march 7,2023, the licensee submitted renewal forms in Feb 2023, has not yet received a new certificate. please ensure that a current certificate is received as soon as possible and contact K Chong at the following email kelly.chong@fraserhealth.ca when you are in receipt of you new certificate.
