Observation: Numerous food items were found without labels or in ziplock bags. Unable to determine the source of the products.
Corrective Action(s): All food items sold in the facility must be from approved sources and have labels indicating the supplier, supplier contact information, and ingredients, including potential allergens. Operator to stop selling foods from unapproved sources until invoices are provided for all food items. Items which do not have invoices cannot be sold

Comments

-Upright cooler was at 3C.
-Upright freezers were at -14C/-15C.
-Random selection of foods were within their best before dates. Canned food items were in good condition.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.

Operator is interested in repackaging of foods in the facility. Facility has a 2-compartment sink in the back area. In order to repackage foods, the following is required:
-Provide a sanitation plan on cleaning and sanitizing of equipment used for repackaging.
-All foods which are repackaged must be stored in food grade containers/bags.
-All containers/bags must be labelled with the facility name and contact information, common name of the food items, and potential allergens.
-Shared handwash station/2-compartment sink must have liquid hand soap and single use paper towels.
-Health Approval must be granted to repackage foods prior to starting to repackage foods.
