Code 401 noted on Routine inspection # AHEN-CQYS9C of Apr-17-2023 Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] Observation: 1. Handsink near the front service area lacked liquid soap. Liquid soap dispenser was not affixed to the wall near this sink. Paper towels were not accessible as the paper towel dispenser was jammed. This handsink contained preparation utensils inside it. . 2. Handsink in the back service area had a fly glue trap hanging in front of it, making it inconvenient to wash hands and dry hands properly. Correction: 1. Staff member removed the preparation utensils. Staff informed the Manager would purchase liquid soap and fix the paper towel dispenser at this handsink today. Re-install the wall-mounted liquid soap dispenser at this handsink in the front service area. In the interim, use the second handsink to wash hands. Ensure designated handsinks in accordance with the health approved floor plan remain accessible for handwashing purposes. Ensure to only rinse reparation utensils at the designated rinse sink. . 2. Staff removed the fly glue trap to enable convenient access to paper towels at this handsink. Ensure to place the paper towel roll (currently sitting on the dispenser near this handsink) into the wall-mounted paper dispenser today.

Follow up inspection: -Handsink in the front service area was supplied with liquid soap (in a dispenser on the counter-top), hot and cold running water, and single-use paper towels. Ensure to re-install the wall-mounted liquid soap dispenser at the handsink in the front service area. -Manager on shift held valid FOODSAFE Level 1 course training (expiration date: February 20, 2025).
