Routine check of Elk's kitchen.
Commercial cooler - air temperature is <4 C - good.
Freezer - -18C - good.
Hand washing - liquid soap and paper towels are provided. Recommend a smaller, designated hand sink.
Counters that were worn and in poor condition have been replaced with stainless steel counters. Make sure that edges are smooth and finish cleaning cupboards once counters have been finished.
Commercial dishwasher - 50ppm chlorine detected.

White Rock Elks Hall kitchen - used by Elks members for private events and by a Health approved food processor (separate file)..
For food that is for the public (events that are open to the public), a temporary food permit is required. Food organizer is to submit a Temporary Food Permit application form at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
Cooler is at 4 C or colder and there is an accurate thermometer to check and verify the temperature (4 C/ 40 F or colder is required).
Food caterers are to have a valid Food Permit or, if not, required a temporary food permit. Call if you have questions.
