Handsinks were supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.
Walk-in-cooler and other refrigeration units were at or below 40 degrees F (4 degrees C).
Walk-in-freezer and other freezers on the main floor and downstairs area were at or below 0 degrees F (-18 degrees C).
Hot-held food was at or above 140 degrees F (60 degrees C).
Refrigeration units were equipped with thermometers.
Temperature records were being maintained.
Maintenance log and receiving log was in place.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available in a labelled spray bottle and third compartment sink unit.
No signs of recent pest activity were present at the time of inspection.
Ice machine was undergoing cleaning tonight according to the Manager.
Ice machine was empty of ice at the time of inspection.
Ice bin was in a clean condition near the take-out window. Scoop was stored separately from the ice in a clean container.
Manager had a FOODSAFE Level 1 refresher course certificate valid until January 25, 2024.
Manager mentioned that three other staff members have recently completed a FOODSAFE Level 1 course training to ensure each shift has a FOODSAFE Level 1 trained staff member. Requirement: Operator and at least one employee in their absence must have valid FOODSAFE Level 1/equivalent course training.
