Routine Inspection:

Liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels were available at the handsinks. A large garbage can was available on-site. Please place two small garbage cans near both of the handsinks as well to enable convenient disposal of paper towels.

Bleach was available on-site. It was reviewed that the scoop, bowl, and container for the scoop must be washed, rinsed, sanitized (placed into 100 ppm chlorine sanitizer -1/2 teaspoon of bleach per 1 L of water) for two minutes, and then air dried. The operator was able to fill up 100 ppm chlorine sanitizer in the 3-compartment sink.
Lysol wipes were available to disinfect the table surfaces.

Packaged whole grain oats were stored in covered packaging that was labelled as well.
No signs of recent pest activity were observed.
The door at the backdoor was sealed.

Extra new bulk bins were present on-site that the operator mentioned that they would export out to another country and that the bulk bins are not being used for their packaging operation.

The operator mentioned that they may sell packages of whole oats to Alberta and out of country in the future. Please consult with The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (C.F.I.A) regarding this proposal and ensure that you meet the requirements of the government agency that has jurisdiction.
