Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSOP). Evidence for this report was based on the Licensing Officer’s observations, review of the facility records and information provided by the facility staff at the time of inspection.
The following areas were reviewed: Licensing; Physical Facility; Staffing; Polices & Procedures; Care & Supervision; Hygiene and Communicable Disease Control; Medication; Nutrition and Food Services; Program; Records and Reporting
As part of the Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The Risk Assessment includes non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year “historical” review of the facility’s compliance and operation.

Live 5210 Program was discussed with Licensee, Live 5210 resource package left at time of inspection.
Resources left during inspection: FH: Bulletin regarding the on-line and manual process for renewing Criminal Record Approval letters.
Inspection report was reviewed with Licensee before report was signed and printed.
Licensing would like to thank the staff and children of Lisa's Happy Family Child Care for their time and assistance during today’s inspection.

Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #KSEY-A5WPSG have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.
Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.
Comments

During inspection Licensing observed children engaged in free play, they were building large structures with Duplo.

Licensing then observed children taking part in a circle time which consisted of learning to count in English & Mandarin, interacting with the Licensee during a story (doing actions etc), singing sonngs and doing movements.

Licensing observed the Licensee at child's level, interacting during activities and assisting with problem solving when necessary.
