Foods still be stored in the "walk-in" area of the Walk-in cooler

-operator still needs additional multi-level shelves in the side hallway

-The new shelves installed have raw wood surface
Corrective Action(s): Operator must contact me if infractions cannot be corrected before the follow-up inspection.

-DO NOT STORE ANY GOODS IN THE "WALK-IN" AREA

You may put more shelves against the cooler walls as an option here ensuring the lowest level is >15cm off the ground

As an option you may use blocks on the sides to raise the level of the 2 shelves >15 cm off the ground

-Raw wood is not an acceptable surface for food storage. Food contact surfaces must be smooth, non-absorbent, non-toxic and easily cleanable. Options you have here are: painting shelves with an oil-based paint or wood stain, or using plastic liners

-Additional multi-level shelves needed in side hallway -you may use shelves with castors (wheels) as well

Violation Score: 9

Follow Up to "Critical" Violations Noted on Previous Inspections (if applicable): No corrections entered
