Observation: The ice machine has mould buildup inside.
Correction: Clean today and ensure that it is cleaned on a regular basis.

Follow up inspection:

Discussed the menu with the owner due to a lack of refrigerated and frozen storage space and the owner voluntarily agreed to remove the following menu items:

Cold tofu, squid with flying fish roe, tuna tacos, avocado prosciutto, kimchi yaki, maki rolls, veggie lovers roll, angry bird roll (chicken katsu), squid salmon rolls, all robata except for the beef, ebi scallops, Donburi reduced to 3 types.

Submit an updated menu to Fraser Health within 3 weeks.


Corrections:

Food is now stored off the ground in the walk in cooler and freezer.
Cleaning has been done in the storage room and all foods are off the floor.
Chlorine test strips for the glasswasher have been purchased.
The ice machine has been cleaned.
The raw shellfish warning has been added to the menu. Ensure that it is added to the updated menu as well.
The glasswasher has been repaired and has 100 ppm chlorine. Test daily.

Outstanding items

Ensure that a professional pest control company is onsite more often since droppings were found in the storage room during the last inspection.
Cleaning still required to remove the dust from the walls and ceiling.
Purchase more pest proof containers for the storage room and ensure that all food stored in that room is kept in a pest proof container.
