Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Staff was seen washing a pizza cutter in the (only) hand washing sink at the front counter. No detergent or sanitizer was used.
Corrective Action(s): The pizza cutter was taken to the back dishwashing area. Ensure staff are properly trained for 3-compartment sink dishwashing procedures (wash, rinse, sanitize, air dry). Hand washing sinks should only be used for hand washing. Do not block these sinks with utensils.

Follow-up inspection conducted.

The back storage area was being re-organized at the time of the inspection. The shelves had been taken down.

The floor of the walk-in cooler was in better sanitary condition. The corners and areas under shelves need further attention.
Inspector had verified Food Safe level 1 certifications with the 7-eleven head office after the last inspection. Valid Serve Safe certifications are now kept on site. *NOTE: 7-eleven internal certifications are not equivalent.

Inspector verified the use of Zep sanitizer and reviewed the MSDS sheets. The sanitizer is acceptable for use on food contact surfaces. Ensure the manufacturer's instructions are followed.
