Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Mouldy vegetables observed in food insert in at preparation (sandwich) cooler.
Corrective Action(s): Discarded. Ensure food that is contaminated or unfit for consumption is discarded. In addition, discussed proper stock rotation procedures to minimize spoilage.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Designated hand washing station was completely blocked at the time of inspection. A tray used for the storage of bubble tea powders was covering the sink.
2. Paper towel dispenser empty and no liquid soap available for back area sink.
Corrective Action(s): Tray removed. Liquid soap / paper towel supplied. Ensure all hand washing stations remain easily accessible at all times and are always supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels to facilitate proper hand washing.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Ice machine scoop stored in contact with ice.
2. In use knives stored in bucket filled with quats sanitizer.
3. Bags of food observed to be open in dry food storage room. Boxes of food also observed on floor in this area.
Corrective Action(s): Ice machine scoop placed into clean food insert outside of ice machine. Ensure scoop is stored in a manner that protects ice from potential contamination.
Sanitizer solution discarded. Discontinue this practice as sanitizer solution may potentially contaminate food. Discussed proper storage practices for in use utensils (e.g. storage under refrigeration at 4 degrees C or less, storage in ice water).
Ensure all food is properly covered or sealed, and stored off the floor, to protect from potential contamination.

Observation: 1. Several boxes of supplies (non-food) stored directly on ground in hall. Back storage room is cluttered / unorganized.
2. Food debris / spills observed throughout the premises (floor, counters, storage areas, baking area).
Corrective Action(s): Ensure premises is thoroughly cleaned to remove all food debris and spills. Food debris and spills are a potential pest attractant.
Ensure storage areas are properly organized and items are stored off the floor to limit potential harbourage areas for pests. Note: It was stated that additional shelving is proposed to be installed. Date to be corrected by: July 14, 2023.

Thermometers available for all cooler units. Probe thermometer available on site.
Designated front hand sink supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
Quaternary ammonium compounds (quats) sanitizer available in labeled spray bottles at 200 ppm, and from dispensing unit at 200 to 400 ppm.
High temperature dishwasher temperature at utensil surface measured 71 degrees C (front dishwasher) and 72 degrees C (back dishwasher). Minimum required: 71 degrees C at the utensil surface.
All sinks supplied with hot and cold running water.
Ice machine in sanitary condition. Stored utensils in sanitary condition. It was stated that ice cream scoop is washed and sanitized between uses.
Ventilation canopy in clean condition.
No signs of pest activity observed at the time of inspection.
Chemicals stored away from food.
FOODSAFE requirements met at time of inspection. FOODSAFE Level 1 equivalent certificate for manager on site is valid to February 8, 2028.
Temperature logs are not up-to-date. Discussed: Ensure temperature logs are maintained per your food safety plan. Discussed maintenance of dishwasher logs as well.
