Comments

On site today was the Licensee/Manager with nine children in the Group Child Care (school age) program, and two other staff with the Group Child Care (30 months to school age) program. On Licensing's arrival there were 9 children in attendance.

Licensing observed the facility space and reviewed Covid-19 protocols to be as per the BCCDC guidelines.

Further discussion took place regarding:
- Mask wearing - all staff are wearing masks and discussed the guideline for school aged children to wear masks. Please review the BCCDC guidelines http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19
- Staffing - Licensee has secured appropriate staffing to assist in recent staff shortage, beginning January 17, 2022. The current staff exemption approval will expire January 31, 2022, and will require a review to ensure compliance, which was further discussed.
- Requirement intent for emergency information and what needs to be available at all times.

A further follow up will be completed on a regular basis to support the Licensee in maintaining compliance around staffing.
