Comments

- Premises distributes packaged Chinese herbal products (non potentially hazardous products)
- Limited re-packaging was occurring. Designated handwashing station needed to continue any re-packaging. (See violation above)
- All products stored off of the floor on pallets or shelving.
- Handsink in staff washroom supplied with hot and cold running water.
- Walk-in cooler at 4C. Products in cooler stored for quality rather than food safety. (no potentially hazardous products)
*Discussed business licence referral received for sublease of space. Proposed sublease business would be distributing Chinese herbal product (birdsnest). Product is non potentially hazardous and pre-packaged. No re-packaging to occur. As such health approval for proposed sublease not needed. Operator to designate space in walk-in cooler for the product. No objections to sublease providing there is no impact on existing business (ie. sanitation or storage) and existing business maintains compliance with the Food Premises Regulation.
