Observation: -Observed the noted area in the routine inspection cleaned and sanitized; however
Found multiple areas with mouse droppings including:
1. left corner under the topping counter
2. Under dry storage shelves in the back
3. In the corners of yogurt machines
4. In the back corner where garbage bins are stored.
Corrective Action(s): In order to monitor current pest activities, required operator to clean and sanitize all noted areas and remove all droppings. Then check every day to see if they are returning. If not improving, may be required to get professional pest management solutions

Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)] (Sanitizer was 0 ppm coming out of dispenser, no test strip available on site. )

Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] (Front hand sink does not have liquid soap, staff advised washes hands in back. Smoothies and waffles are made at front counter. )

Follow-up inspection for KMLN-ASRQD7:

Resolved Violations:
1. Sanitizing solution dispenser in good working order at the time of inspection; test strips purchased and QUAT 200ppm detected; also discussed manual dishwashing processes (wash, rinse and sanitize cycles)
2. liquid soap purchased for the front hand sink; required to have extra stocks of liquid soap as they may run out at any time
3. Sanitation of premises is satisfactory. No food debris build-up was found, yogurt machines were removed at the time of inspection to show thorough cleaning was done. No food was found on counter in the front
4. At the time of inspection, an employee with foodsafe level 1 certificate holder was present. Discussed that at least one person on site must have foodsafe level 1 certificate during operation.

Outstanding Violations:
1. Referring to Code 304: different and new areas with droppings found, required operator to clean all areas for monitoring purposes

Closure order rescinded, approved to re-open; ensure to have regular monitoring systems in place for controlling pest activities
