Introduction

Licensing was on site to conduct a scheduled follow up inspection to the routine inspection, #SWAR-BT5SES conducted on September 3, 2020.
A response to the contraventions cited at the routine inspection was not received and therefore an inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA) and Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR's).
A COVID-19 risk screening was conducted prior to inspection and all COVID-19 prevention strategies were followed.
Licensing met with the Manager to review the contraventions.

The following contraventions were addressed:
10070 - All current staff certificates are posted as required by legislation
11200 - Plastic bags are no longer accessible to children. The laundry room door now has signage to remind staff to close behind them. This prevents access to children and all hazardous products are no longer in children's reach.
12040 - All staff criminal record checks are now site specific apart from one which is still in process with the review program.
12050 - References have been obtained for the identified staff and discussion took place as to requirements of appropriate screening.
12190 - Fire drill practices are up to date and recorded appropriately. Discussed safety route for evacuation.
19070 - Missing immunization status is available for all children apart from one which is still outstanding. Manager is aware and a system is in place to fulfill that requirement..
19160 - Photographs are now in place for all children and obtained by the facility for both the emergency cards and display in the classroom.
