Observation: The front upright freezer handle has been repaired with cardboard and tape.
Corrective Action(s): Cardboard is not a smooth and easy to clean material that is impervious to moisture. It cannot be sanitized to prevent the growth of pathogens that can cross contaminate food. Repair the handle to ensure it is smooth and easy to clean. Date to be corrected by: July 10, 2023

Employee does not wash hands properly or at adequate frequency [s. 21(3)]
Observation: Observed staff member handle their phone for a call with gloves on, then proceed to handle food with the same gloves
Correction: Reviewed proper glove use and handwashing procedures with staff. Do not handle personal items then prepare food without handwashing or changing gloves

Follow-up inspection conducted.
The back preparation sink is functional and accessible. Ensure the sinks are not obstructed or decommissioned for use. You must maintain the floor plan that was approved or submit new plans for approval if changes are required.

The front upright cooler handle has been repaired with cardboard - this is not acceptable. Please see violation above.
Email a copy of the Food Safe level 1 or equivalent training certification to the inspector for staff.
