STAFFING: 12160 - CCLR s.20(1) - The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.
Observation: It was observed that one criminal record check (CRC) is outsatanding. The Licensee has been in contact with the Licensing Officer to update the status of the criminal record check.In discussion with the Licensee she stated the CRC was still in process but it has not been completed yet.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all people who are ordinarily present have a criminal record check. This is a repeat contravention.

STAFFING: 12190 - CCLR s.22(2)(b) - A licensee must ensure that each employee (b) practices implementing the fire drill system at least once each month.
Observation: Licensing observed the fire drills have not been practiced or recorded since the last inspection in September. In discussion with the Licensee she stated the children were new and she didn't practice this in September. The importance of practicing a fire drills was discussed.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure fire drills are practiced as outlined in the legislation. This is a repeat contravention.
